im taking ownership of a 2litre corsa at the weekend and the lad im getting it off reckons all it needs for its mot is a standard exhaust for emissions. this being down to the fact it has some side exit cannon lol. so im just wondering if the standard corsa exhaust will fit the manifold of the x20e engine or will i need to find someone to fabricate me one or whatever. thanks in advance people.

ps i had a quick look using the search button and couldnt find any info so my apologies in advance if ive missed something glaringly obvious

No, it won't fit straight on, you will need someone to put a flexi from the manifold to centre section.

I more than likely just needs a cat for the emissions and not the whole exhaust

could you not spend a little more money then and actually get a performance exhaust made up instead of buying something 'bodged standard' and then wanting a performance later on? :/

just thought it would be a waste of money buying a standard exhaust to then get rid and buy a performance... imo i would be better and cheaper to just buy a performance one straight off

i was suggesting one with a cat in the system, imo its pointless getting a system with a de-cat and then having to constantly change it over just for mot, the power change is hardly noticeale without cat so why not just leave it in :/

It depends on the age of the car and the engine before you listen to all this 'cat' crap that has been posted.
