Been on this diet for around 6 months now, the idea is to stay as lean as possible whilst slowly gaining muscle and so it needs to be as clean as possible.

I have made good progress but it has dramatically slowed over the last month, i.e. I’m getting no leaner and not putting any more size on.

Any suggestions for improvements are welcomed:

08: 00am – Basa White Fish Fillet / Protein Shake
10: 00am – Banana
12: 30pm - Chicken Breast / Jacket Potato / Salad
02: 30pm – Basa White Fish Fillet / 2 x Rice Cake
05: 30pm – Train
06: 30pm – Protein Shake
07: 30pm – Tea (Usually chicken stir fry/Chicken curry/Chicken with Pasta etc)
10: 00pm – Protein Shake / 100g’s Cottage Cheese.

Im thinking i need to throw some Nuts/Tuna/Egg's in at some point....

08: 00am – Basa White Fish Fillet / Protein Shake / (2x Eggs)
10: 00am – Banana (Handful of Almonds)
12: 30pm - Chicken Breast / Jacket Potato / Salad
02: 30pm – Basa White Fish Fillet / 2 x Rice Cake
05: 30pm – (Need something Pre Workout, Banana?) Train
06: 30pm – Protein Shake (Tin Tuna)
07: 30pm – Tea (Usually chicken stir fry/Chicken curry/Chicken with Pasta etc)
10: 00pm – Protein Shake / 100g’s Cottage Cheese.

I'd have 3 or 4 scrambled eggs with no bread and maybe a little bit of low fat cheese for breakfast instead of the fish fillet/protein shake

Not sure on the curry at all, or the pasta at that time (has to be wholemeal anyway)

I normally have 2 chicken breasts with brocolli and carrots if im eating later

Cheers dude, Tea is an akward one as i live with the Mrs and so can't have the same thing everynight and she hate's eating mega healthy all the time Also can't make two different meals at night as that lot already costs nearly £180 a month just for me.

Breakfast is a good shout, change up the fish for eggs/cheese(could make a quick omlette or something).

EDIT: Ive just realised aswell typing that out that i don't eat anything between 02: 30 and 07: 30, and i train between this time

Been on Livestrong.org and it shows my daily intake consists of:

1709 Calories

Fat 16g
Carbs 128g
Protien 190g

I would of thought to get any bigger you should be eating more calories?

That diet is spot on imo. Just add the tuna and more eggs like you say. Try make sure you have a few eggs for breakfast every morning

Maybe have a "all in one" drink which has more carbs/creatine in; before a workout then just a protein one for afters. Or have a banana/maybe porridge before a workout?

Thats it then, eggs for breakfast and pre-workout meal, could be that extra bit i need to start progressing again without adding fat.

I would recommend adding a 14" pizza with extra cheese into that diet. IMHO.

Id def look at adding something pre-workout as you dont seem to have anything for 3hrs before.

if your looking to no gain any size or fat then drop the carbs to a minimum, bit of toast in the morning and thats it, no more carbs through-out the day

I like chicken, tuna and pretty much everything on that menu but to me that is absolutely grim. Set times, set foods and folk still telling you you're doing it wrong

Admittidly its not the most entertaining diet, but then if you could get ripped off chocolate and fizzy drinks everyone would be walking round looking like Arnie.

You need to eat to meet your needs.
If you are 6'5" and built like a pubic hair, you would require a lot less kcals to grow.

I personally think all these set diets are crap.
I eat what i like, when im hungry and grow... Your food should also match your training regime.

So many people fall into the trap of:
eat like pro bodybuilder A, train like pro bodybuilder B, in 6 months i will look like pro bodybuilder C.

Im naturally short(5ft 4) and sit at around 10 stone, 14% bf(no abs) but with the diet i comfortably sit at 10-11% BF with little effort(10 mins cardio twice a week) which is a massive difference, top 4 abs visible, definition in arms etc. I dont wana look like a pro bodybuilder, i much prefer the 'mens health' look.

I believe the term is "fitness model"

I am also blessed with being short, 5'5" or 5'6" on a good day.
However i currently weigh 14 stone with visable abs.. and none of this set meal diet polava.

5ft, 5 and 14 stone Mind you my mate 'Ryno' is about 5ft nothing and a couple of stone heavier than me, but imo looks silly, and not just because he was on the factor 50 all holiday
