Need some ideas here, we are restoring an air rifle, and the barrel had a thin layer of rust over it.

so we are sanding it off back to metal, my question is whats the best way of repainting/colouring the barrel back to its original gun metal finish?

i imagine paint would be too thick and not look right

Thats just the normal way its done.

You can paint it, but it'll only chip etc.

Good video after youve done loling at the guy presenting it.

Never done it myself, but my family are into shooting etc.

I've painted one before, but it looked shit after a couple of trips out.

There seems to be a few different ways to blue it. Prob best just searching about and finding the easiest for you

It could be a precharged

You can get blueing kits to do it yourself but it never comes out well IMO.

There are a few gunsmiths that will do it for you.
