Due to a change in stance on having a flashy expensive car I purchased this little beaut

1997 Mk3 2.8 VR6 - Black Magic Pearl
98,000 miles
3 former keepers, last guy has had it since 2001! (gav you may have seen it about as there are parking tickets for bas and southend areas)
Heated leather
Air con
Leccy Sunroof
Leccy windows
Leccy mirrors
Arty farty alpine head unit and all wires for sub and CD changer already fitted.
etc

P.S Yes the wheels are gash!!! Not sure i will get much for them as they are bubbling to fook on the polished rim.
Considering the age and the milage the body work is very tidy, needs a polish/clay etc but has come up pretty well after a very soapy wash.
Engine started first time and runs very smooth so all should be well there.

And close up of the bad bit

Enquiring into a few black VR6's being split so hopefully a door will come out of that.

Current plans are to sell the 350 then drive this about for a bit and make sure everything is as it should be and sort out any mech issues that may arise.

Mod plans if all goes well are.
Mk4 style headlights
Kamei style Grill
Crystal bumper fogs/indicators
Santa Monica or Montreal II Wheels (Ideally, but not too fussy tbh as anything is better than current.
Shocks and springs/coillies (a must as i could smuggle people into the country with those arches )
And general tidying up.

Long term plans if i keep it long enough are to source a crash damaged colour concept/black interiored VR6 and transfer all interior into this one and sell the cream looking stuff.

Big step down from the 350 but I'm pretty sure i can live with it.

Seems to have been pretty well looked after, only a couple of rust scabs but only if you hunt for them Aircon rad looks nice and shiny and looks like at least 1 CV joint was done recently too.

Provided its mech sound I may meet Rich somewhere and get him to work his magic and get it looking shexi.

Recolouring the leather sounds interesting, would need to do the carpets etc aswell though

i like these. they actually don't look too bad.

in a way the best thing i did was get rid of the focus.

not worried about leaving the puma anywhere, getting parking dents and looking dirty and shite

damage is nothing, new door and it'll look great.

Can look quite good with a few things to freshen them up

Definately looking forward to being able to leave it where ever and not worry about it as much as the 350! Although there are no car park dings on it so would be a shame if someone made some

Yeah the cream is rare apparently(rare for a reason i think ) it looks more cream in the pics than it does in the flesh, needs a good clean up but isn't bad cond considering

most i saw had the mulberry leathers which are gash never saw green ones

Don't get to drive it until the 350 is gone im actually lookin forward to it!

i'd use the VW G12++ coolant in it and dispose of the blue whatever is in there.

HT leads look like the originals

Needs the VR6 badge on the front

have you joined VR6OC to look out for a door or someone breaking another?

Jamie, it will be different but i think I'm making the right choice as much as I love the 350!

All fluids will be getting changed, will use that as coolant, what oil do you use for yours?

Will try and get a vr6 badge nice and cheap so it doesn't look like a 1.4

Not on there yet, good shout!

Dan - Nope no house, just want to use my money for other things instead of having an expensive car which sits on the drive all week

First rev last night worried me as there was a little bit of blueness but was fine after that. Had plenty on the dipstick so hopefully wont be too bad

Might have a bilstein shocks and springs sorted for £40 to get rid of those massive arch gaps
