do you find them shocking?
just thinking back to how bad they were, they would lock up loads, the back end sometimes swung out on heavy braking.
Nearly had a lad hit my corrado in his corsa, and i put it down to the brakes, he had no chance of stopping, just locked up and carried on into a field
i think this is why younger people are known for crashing more = poor brakes etc
Never had the corrado lock up on me, unless i've done it on purpose

Standard brakes were shocking (1.6) 2.0 brakes worked well though and i never had them lock up.

my v6/turbo brakes lock up and make the back end wobble

not jut brakes to blame. If tyres are bald or have nogrip wheels will lock up.

My original 236mm ones were shite. Upgraded to 1.6 256mm ones, better but not brilliant. Upgraded again to a 292mm setup - MUCH better.
Found I had the back end snatching when they were fitted though, but found the Load Sensing Bias Valve locked up as if the car was heavily laden, freed that off and fixed a couple of leaky cylinders in the drums and now they are bob-on. No unsteady braking, less locking up, and just nice.
Pedal Feel is shocking though. But then I'm used to driving a new car daily, so the rare occasions that I do use the Corsa, they will feel shite in comparison.

Yeah as said the load sensing bias valve will also make the back step out. I did have a couple of problems with the back end trying to slide out, also after VERY hard wear my brakes hardl worked at all and caught fire lol, I knew not to push them that hard again.
My Astra GTE 16v had shit brakes too (maybe due to the age of them?) and my Nova Saloon wont even lock up if I try to lol. Still passed MOT recently.

Funny you mention it, on the way back last night, nothing on the road, approaching a junction from a 50 road and the brakes locked up. Luckily nothing on the road! Shit myself as I nearly went head on into a kerb.

they are bad, have been so many times when driving i've had to stop quickly and thought i wouldn't of made that in the corsa without skidding all over the place

Nothing wrong with mine and there just uprated standards.
Never have any issue with locking up or skidding or fade on track and road.
Your all obviously doing something wrong.

This. Lower any corsa and you will need to adjust the Bias Valve as it will snatch like fuck on heavy braking. Also, rear disc conversions on corsas are bad ideas, as i have found out
Agree with pedal feel too, its a million times better in my astra, you have to press it way too far in a corsa before anything happens and its too soft.

Cav & Cal 2.0 Brakes are the same - 256mm Vented Front, 260mm Solid rear
Astra Mk3 uses the same 256mm Fronts, not sure on rear

ATE calipers are the same on them anyway. (Cav 16v/Astra Mk2/3 GTE or GSI etc)
So it has rear discs?
TBH, the snot green wasn't a slur, I fucking love green and yellow cars. I fancy the idea of my R5GTT in the mid 90's Micra snot/grass green.

To be honest i've found my standard Corsa B brakes fine so far... but thats probably because my brakes on the Ibiza i had before were absolutely shocking! I had to practically get the handbrake lever in the back of the car for it to do anything ha
