just got a carbon bonnet and went to put my gas bonnet struts on it, when i went to shut it the bonnet creaked and it sounded like the threads where going to rip out so i stoped, has anyone used gas struts on a carbon bonnet or are you not ment to? . thanks

i did, and had the same.. iirc. i just kept one strut in the door pocket for when the bonnet was opened
