I could do with changing my oil, and need some advice.

Its a 1.9TDi PD which currently has 5w/40 fully synthetic stuff which is from the dealers.

Am I right in saying for track/fast road use, its better to have a higher grade (like 45 or 50?)??? Would this help a little with oil temps? As its quite easy to get the oil temp to 120deg

use 10w40 or 10w60 fully synth..

5 and 0 prefix oils are only used to bring emissions down and are bad for your engine.
