I am thinking of getting an Escort RS Turbo(not really interested in anything else, so no suggestions required, thanks!) and was wondering who does policies that cover track days, i would probably only do about 1500 - 2000 miles a year in it max too. Cheers guys

You generally have to get specialist insurance on the day, to cover track-time, as most insurance policies specify that track-events are exempt from their cover. From what I remember from Trax 2001, it costs about £50, but I guess it depends on your normal policy (not sure).

i dont know,
i made and fitted some rear chassis rails for a chap with an rst and i know he has done his insurance through the owners club. Cost him £18 to join i think but saved him £200?
Anyway he was saying that it covers him for track days, now weather this is only ones organised by the club or not im not sure.
I need to see him midweek so I could find out for you if you want.
