Just a quick one to say hello.. names Jay, drive an ultra blue C which i have owned for a couple of years now, mods have come and gone, parts have been replaced here there and everywhere, and i tend to change my mind a lot
Been using cc|uk for the last couple of years now, and never really got round to getting myself on other forums. I know Warren G uses this a fair bit and he has done a lot of work for me, and some more to come in the future
Will let the pics do the talking
*pic heavy*
All started off as a 1.2 sxi capitol edition
[img]http://i444.photobucket.com/albums/qq169/jay87sxi/waxed.jpg[img]
my first mods were the Irmy grille and Heko wind deflectors
then de-badged the rear and bought a set of 17" Lenso alloys with the intention to refurb them in gloss black

also bought an Irmscher lower splitter and eyebrows in ultra blue, but unfortunately lost my job shortly after, so sold these on

started practising Detailing, and bought a silverline machine polisher along with some nice products. This was later replaced with the DAS 6 machine, with compounds, Dodo juice, collinite, menzerna, Poorbotys and many other top rang prodcuts
New job, more mods
car ast like this for a month or so

didnt really like how she looked, so decided to basically turn it into an SRi, with the immediate purchase of some fcuked SRi alloys - refurbed them myself in gloss white

sri's done and on.. then off to elite direct in Essex for some Toyo's fitted and balanced

Gloss white center consol to match and blue led bulbs

more to follow

aswell as a read OMP strut brace - second hand and fadded into a lovely pink.. i stripped it down and preped it to continue my white/blue theme

was a bitch to remove the powder coated red lol
got round to refurbing the lensos

needed a fair bit of filler, high build primer and some fresh paint

a couple of random pics of how the c was looking. down 40mm, 8k HID's fitted and white side led bulbs

expensive pair of sri mirrors lol

decided to colour code the bump strips too.

flat wiper blades, mirrors on

wanted to start making the c different to others, so started with the Interior
orange camo.. :\

i liked it at first, but after about a week i thought twice about it lol and off it came. nice sticky residue all over my pillars
i arranged a meet down Waterloo's graffitti tunnel for some funky pics

and at another local meet.. got my ramps out and i fitted an exhaust system in the middle of a multi story car park for a mate
and fitted a laguna splitter to mine. poor pic but meh

sold the lensos

customer wanted me to smooth his center consol for him too and spray it in gloss black

a bit of a clean

then the fun stuff started to happen when i decided i wanted a 'Euro style'd let'...

smoothed german Opel front bumper

smoothed rear

FK highsport coilovers.. bought second hand.. which i leter regret
meh! GAZ ones will be on come the end of the month i hope!
a bit of negative camber

VXR carriers and callipers with 280mm discs fitted by Warren G

refurbed some exclusive alloys for another lad
before;

after;

sparkling graphite

and then 1.8 bits and bobs
cams

knew the engine i was picking up had no cams, hence why i bought them!
engine picked up (was pretty heavy lol)

needed to upgrade the rad as the 1.2 is too small, ordered one online, alone with the relevent pipes and hoses
engine cover wasnt the best of paint jobs as you can see..

so instead of working, out came the wet and dry preped it up, needed filling in some areas!! smoothed down, and primed up

next day was flatting the primer, degreased and sprayed up

i'll most likely take this off and have the rocker cover powder coated that colour instead and have a coilpack cover made up for me
i dropped the engine off to mr warren g.. after he inspected it closely.. found a lot of parts that needed replacing

needed both matrix coolant pipes, headertank coolant pipe, a few other hoses... then found that the rocket gasketwas split AND the tb gasket
to go along with the non A/C belt
rad
pipes for the rad
fuel hose connector
servo connector
breather pipes
baibai 1.2 ecotech

fcuked cam pulley aswell..

broken rocker cover gasket, and new cambelt kit and cam seals
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/carimages/6790/IMG_0180.JPG
1.8 going in

cams going in

every other 1.2 - 1.8 conversion i've seen in the c, the interior loom has been changed.
but warren re wired and re pinned the 1.2 loom and got it all working

only fault codes reading were air con, as he had taken the pump and rad off, along with hoses and replaced the belt for a shorter one
after fitting everything, then noticed coolant leaking
inlet gasket needed replacing
and both of the 02 sensors need replacing soon too. but she runs, and runs really well!

02 sensors lol

the FK highsports at the front had leaked a lot of oil, on the way home from picking her up it was bouncing all over the place
so i managed to get some sri shocks for the fronts with 40mm springs

awesome meet up London/Waterloo's graffitti tunnel that i arranged off cc uk

my c was looking odd.. so i didnt really want pics taken of her lol had just started to refurb my sri's in anthracite.. aswell as my center consol

as i was going anthracite, i went to see someone with a bit of vinyl..

Ace of hearts playing card, nice and subtle. will probably change my mid about it soon though
face refurb of my alloys

took her up USC the weekend just gone, good weekend up there!
had her dyno'd..

not bad!!
the ecu i had with the engine had a remap on there, the only mods i have are the lightened flywheel and shortshifter!
random pic...

white pressed plate on the rear with bright white led plate bulbs
off to warrens later to have the inlet gasket replaced

Nice project mate, good power output too
I might give mine a good service before having it dyno'd then, hopefully it will make good power like yours! I doubt it though if yours has been mapped

ta lads
yeah standard 1.8 is 125bhp, pretty much down to the map why im running just shy of 134bhp tbh
a good service is always a good thing, i check my car every two weeks if i get the chance, oil, coolant, filters etc.. which brings a bit of sadness to the car tonight
burning oil much quicker than it should be, so its obviously been ragged like fook by the previous owner, add that too the long list of parts he fooked up/broke/didnt replace/sold and didnt tell me
inlet gasket was replaced this evening, a thicker oil was also put in, fingers crossed it doesnt burn through as quickly as it had been
and cheers jack, hopefully see you again soon at the next big show/event, didnt really chat much when i met you at TFS!

1.8 brap brap
Dave, Jay has 1.9 intake pipe, panel filter, straight though and irmy backbox, and a remap suited to a 170bhp spec, so figures about right

Ahh cool, cheers. I keep forgetting to get the 1.9 intake pipe, will it go straight on? I think I remember someone saying it needs an adapter or something.
I have the straight through now but it's not on yet Rusty clamp is a bit of a show stopper at the mo.

It needs an adaptor off an Astra Dave, jubilee clip them together!
went to Southend last night, no problems there or on the way back, just when i was about 5 minutes from home.. she died on me
no power what so ever, totally died on me while i was driving! had to push it through a tunnel, up a hill and into a secure car park where it stayed over night. heading over there soon to have a look at a few things - battery, alternator, sensors.. i hope its not any wiring issues!
sad times, fingers crossed its something simple
