Due to an issue about 'faulty' paint (paint reaction with the cement render.. or cementreaction with the paint)  ICI-Dulux have given me 10 gallons FREE of weathershield masonry CountyCream paint to re paint the outside of my house. Thing is I've gotta re do it all, only three years after I did it originally.
So this evening (after all the rain we've had today) I thought I'd make the most of the summery night and make a start on it, a bit every day and it'll be done before I know it........ just got to get up to those chimney stacks at some time lol
Masked a few windows up and had an hour painting. 
first few pix from tonight to see me starting.. you can clearly see the colour difference between the County Cream colour, from the last time it was originally painted back in aug 2007.

It won't be too bad once you've got going.
I've got the task of organising the redecoration of 20 properties this year plus all the running timber repairs. Pain in my arse that job

Painted houses look much nicer than brick though, will be worth it when you're done

well didn't want to re do it in only three years.. when its says 15years protection on the tin, the small print says 'upto 15years' lol..... meaning it might only last 3!! lol
anyhow, tonight I did the rear, taped up all the windows then thought I better coat it up, the top of the house was a bit windy this evening... went u slowly.. came down quickly!
you can see what i've done against the 'old' paint anyway
brought a section down at a time, losing the joining edge behind where the RWP will go.
the back all done...
arty shot...... sort of. lol

If you've got plastic windows the paint *should* last 10 years no problem.
All the ones I look after have timber windows and fascias and stuff, so the paint all peels off there they get wet and we have to re-do them every 5 years.
That should go 10 years easy. I'd think after 15 it'd be looking kinda grubby and want a clean up though.

nightmare of a job, at least you can use a roller we painted the house last year and had to do the whole thing with a brush as it is rough cast. took bloody ages

whats the plastic windows got to do with the walls??? you've lost me on that one lol

not 100% sure what stone it was, might be a Yorkstone type of thing, notthat expensive, think they cost about £70 for all those, there about an inch thick.

this evenings job.. the driveway side of the house and the chimney stack!!!
also did the front ofthe garage too.
so far used just under 10 litres of paint

painted the other chimney stack side this lunch time, to have a heavy downpour only twenty mins after I'd done it... just about all washed off
So this evening, when it was all dry again (and no rain forecast till tonight) i re did it.. and did the top of the front of the house as well.
only the side to finish and the ridge top sides of the chimney's... then re black the plinth... oh and take sheets off windows and re fix RWPs lol
so far used 15 litres (3 tins)

nice easy job to do on a smoth finish could have been worse if it was roughcast!

finished off the final side this evening.... just got the stacks to sort out when I'm upto climbing over the roof ridge tiles. lol
