It's been around for a while and LiquidMetal did do golf clubs which were suppose to be pretty decent apart from the fact that the face of the clubs tended to shatter after a few swings 
As for Apple, i think they're already using it in a few of their products, the iPhone springs to mind although not sure what.

Its the iphones sim card ejector (in the US). Surely they must have something more interesting planned?
