Got a week off over my Birthday, so night of Friday 1st October to Sunday 10th October.

Not got a lot of cash to spend as I've got 4 weeks of Snowboarding over Christmas/New Year plus the house to finish etc. but I want to do something that week. I was thinking of a bit of a road trip, chuck camping gear and my powerkite in the car and head off by myself for a few days.

Give me ideas of where to go and what to see!!!

This is what I'm thinking - Maybe the scottish coast as done the South Coast, most of the coast of Wales and not overly fussed about East Anglia.

Me and a mate have been talking about driving Lands End to John o' Groats.

Stop in a couple of different places every day.

Long drive though, hence why we've never bothered.

Done Cornwall and Devon a few times and tbh not a fan of Newquay itself - I like Watergate Bay, St. Ives, Rock and Padstow though!

My mates recently bought a speed-boat for water-skiing or wake boarding, so for my birthday were off to lakes to have a water-sports and drunk piss up break. Should be sweet!

which lakes - if you mean Lake District, you'll be lucky to take the boat on any of them unless its the festival of speed week as there's a 5knot limit throughout the Lakes. We used to do a lot of our trials and testing in the Lakes but can't anymore!!!

Pretty set on Scotland I think; I'd like a few good scenic roads to take a trip down as well so where do you recommend?
