I've got my Class II National Insurance registration to do now, all the rest is done.

First photographic contract is in Sept and i'm hoping to jack work in this time next year.

What body did you have before?

Depending on what you had, good glass could be a better investment!

Just realised the price of the D700. Looks like a nice piece of kit.

Buying expensive stuff certainly motivates you to look after it and get the most out of it. I'm sure you'll enjoy.

I'm almost scared to use my L series lens at times though

I've currently got the D200 with the MB-D200 battery grip, which will now be demoted to my second shooter / backup.

18-200mm VR, 85mm f1.8, 10.5mm fisheye.

I'm looking at picking up the 14-24mm f2.8 or the 14mm prime f2.8.

28 hours after ordering it, it turns up on my doorstep!!

Awesome, substantial bit of kit. I took a shot at 6400 ISO and the noise was the same as 400 ISO on my D200.

NOOOO, that's is the way it should be!

Don't fall into the trap of spending money on bigger and better bodies when glass makes so much more of a difference,
