Ive just clicked on the projects thread and its come up with pictures next to Ian's corsa thread
Is this meant to happen or is my laptop having a moment?
The last post comes up on the main page as today by IVI on Ians thread but on his thread the last post was 10th Aug

Ian said he was going to throw some pictures about the place, it will probably show you the 3 latest images in the thread. Nice little touch. Probably just testing at the minute.

great idea for project threads if it shows the latest pics. i sometimes keep an eye on the quattro build that is full with pics and can take ages to load at work. many times i've sat waiting for it then found out i've already seen the latest updates.

It'll only work for CS hosted images because they're the only ones I have a thumb file name for. They don't appear automatically but will do so as people reply to their threads with new images.
Strictly in testing at the moment, no way of editing for regular users plus I'm not entirely clear how the formatting will look in all browsers.
But it brightens the place up eh

I think i looks great Ian. It might not help people with slow browsers as it might take a while to upload the page but as theyre only small images it shouldnt be too bad. I think it'll get a lot more interest into peoples projects though as the picture will make a bit of interest.

On that screenshot above, how would it work for Paul_JC's thread, what with the long title? Will the text just wrap to the next line? Looks ace though

It looks too busy. With the long thread titles and images.

Like it.
I sometimes click a project thread near the top thinking there's been an update, but the last post is somebody saying 'any updates?'
Grrr.

I've decided that they look quite good but don't fit in with the rest of the theme, think it would need some general layout tweaks to fit in.

i've noticed this before, think it happens when they delete their post but the last poster bit remains the same.

If it has images it becomes two cells, the left will wrap. Same as its doing for Sean-Bs at the moment.
Need to fix it when there are less than three images though, that should ideally be right aligned.

I'm up for suggestions.
I'll also make it configurable for anyone who wants to turn it off. I'm just throwing ideas around to see what works/is efficient/is useful.

I'm not sure tbh Ian, not too much though, as always, CS is what it is because it's so fast and clutter free, just think that atm they look like they've been shoved in anywhere.
Maybe even just round some corners off?

To make it look more integrated, that cell that they're in would have to be the full height of the table and the different colour. But then long thread titles would wrap unnecessarily.
