I think they will go on with wobble bolts.
Astra is 5x110 and Merc is 5x112 iirc

You would need the correct spiggot rings as well.

I've got a mate and he put his dad's Merc wheels on his 1.8 as a straight fit, that's what he told me anyway.

Not needed, they'd just make it easier to line up the holes.

They are needed, spiggot rings are to reduce the centre bore size so the weight of the car isn't resting on the wheel bolts.

I ran the Corsa for about a year without them and I'm still here today. Four M12 bolts, in each hole remember, will take the weight of a car with ease.

Why would manufacturers have to fit spigot rings, why wouldn't they just match the bore to the bit it's going on? People fit them when they're putting after market wheels on because it make it a hell of a lot easier to line up the wheel holes with the hub holes. I'm not saying they're useless, but they're definetely not imperative.

If you had an accident and it was caused by you losing a wheel you'd be right in the shit.
Its more to do with if the bolts arent torqued up stupid tight the wheel can move laterally which means if you hit a hard bump it will sheer the bolts off.. Running lose fitting wheels is STUPID!

but you can buy plastic spigot rings, what good are they going to be? you dont need to run spigot rings and the chances of sheering a bolt while driving is minimal, the amount of pressure you can put on a thread/bolt before it snaps is a hell of a lot.
