Misses thought she got done 2 days ago and the ticket is through already

Mobile speed camera about 1 mile from her house. Got done coming from the 50mph to 30mph limit as when it was 'too late' she was certain she was only doing 35mph indicated i.e. it caught her from a long way off. So she says.

Driving over 2 years. No previous convictions.

What can she expect?

Driver/Speed Awareness is offered at a maximum of 39 in a 30. Hands up who thinks it might go to court and not fixed penalty

3 points £60 fine. It'll only go to court if you contest it.

why would it? it's 15 mph over coming from a 50 to a 30. they will get loads of people there because people usually coast down to 35 odd rather than suddenly breaking from 50 to 30 or braking to 30 before the signs.

it's fucking bollocks. they know they'll catch loads of people there.

it's not ''for safety reasons either''.

Probably just waiting for you to kill yourself tbh.

And Deano I sincerely doubt she will get off with it tbh. I'll be quite disgusted if she does No offence of course.

I got away with 70 in a 30 cause I thought I was being chased. Turned out to be Undercover Police with no blue lights or siren, they let me off cause I licked serious arse.

When I got done doing 36 in a 30, the form I got said Bedfordshire police do not offer speed awareness course so I had to take the points and fine.

I got done for 44mph in a 30. 3 points, £60 fine.

The officer also told me I was lucky he hadn't clocked me at 45mph as if I had then it would of been a court job for being 50% over the limit? Not sure how true that is, can anyone enlighten me out of interest.

I was told if you go over double the speed limit its to court. I.e. 60 in a 30, 80 in a 40 and so on. Obvo over 100 is a ban or whatever too.

Shouldn't have any difference on insurance neither, depending on the company.
I have my 3 points declared and the price hasn't gone up at all.

I never thought I'd get one, got caught out from about 1/4 mile away. Didn't realise they could catch you that far away, the camera got me as soon as I came round a corner, nothing I could do.
