When I drove my mates brand new one year ago or so she warned me about the torque steer.. "MEH!" I scoffed, "I've driven RS Turbos the king of torque steer!"

I came off a round-a-bout onto a dual carrige way, hit the go pedal and the car changed lane.

How the hell can you judge torque steer from that video? It didn't actually torque steer at all, however it can be 'exciting' at times

LSD ftw. I love them too Phil

Ohhh I see, my bad. It's not bad....compared to similar cars in it's class it doesn't seem as great. The 1/4 mile times for other cars are alot better I think mostly due to the weight of the MPS. But once it's moving it's great fun

By the way he is fighting with the wheel on a straight road (in the second vid).. And compounded by the fact I've driven one..

Aye 1/4 mile times aren't ALWAYS a measure of the faster car. My mate's CRX does a 14 dead whereas mine would be lucky to get a 15, but 30+ he can't touch me.

Oh I thought you were saying you could tell from my video. TBH I can't say I've really had torque steer like in that video, except in the wet and when I hit tram lines, which I'd imagine any car would do?

Yeah exactly, but some people swear by them, and can't figure out why their 1/4 mile time is similar to mine yet I beat them easily on the road lol

I think it was awful and if you drive it hard there is no way you could not notice the torque steer.

Don't get me wrong the torque steer is there, but it's in no way uncontrollable. It's nothing like RS turbos I've been in, it's not lane changing material. Only ONCE have I put my foot down and it went so out of shape it scared me but it was damp and I have Paradas, which really are wank in the wet, but awesome in the dry.

I've heard people often talk the torque steer being bad on these, they generally have only driven it once and just put the pedal to the floor without feeding in the power

IMHO there is no point buying a car with power if you have to tease it out and theres even less point buying a big HP car if its FWD.. Only current manufacturer who seems to be able to pull it off is Renault.. the R26 is an amazing car to drive.
