My mate races in the Golf GTI Championship.. on his 2nd lap in a race this weekend he was punted off by another car with the excuse of "I didn't know you were there".

That's racing unfortunately Shell is twisted on most corners - think he's sourced a new shell so will be swopping his bits over.

The driver of the other red Golf got just 2 points on their license.

Cadwell just isn't really a car track, virtually no overtaking points and too narrow - brilliant as a bike track but not for cars IMO

looks fair game... it was mostly the wet grass that caused him to actually crash.

Annoying for the guy I'm sure but just one of those things.

I think if racing you have to expect that even if you were the perfect driver someone is bound to spin in front of you and potentially write off your car.

this is the problem, every tom, dick and harry is now into track days and racing, and they go out looking for whose to blame for racing incidents.

its all part of racing

Hatchback racing is a synonym for crashing.

looks like the other driver turned in on your mate, although the track is so narrow so i just say it's a racing incident.

Unfortunate. I don't see how he can say he didn't see him, he was on his arse for ages trying to get past. If he suddenly isn't in the mirrors then he's obviously in a blind spot, it's not rocket science. Shame the other guy didn't crash too, never mind

6 of one half a dozen of the other, other driver should have been more aware someone was there, however camera car should have realised he was in blokes blind spot and hun gback a bit specially as there was a left hander coming up which would naturally pull the other car across in front of him

Probably shouldn't make a difference; but the driver of the other red golf is a woman. This is the 2nd time that she has punted someone off into a wall with the "I didn't see you excuse" - unfortunately in the previous incident the camera car was too far away.

hard to give definate fault.... your mate was making some pretty half hearted attempts at passing her on the brakes.

He was along side but you can only assume the red car driver didnt know he was so close - doubt it though as he's been in that situation for over a lap.

Guess she just misjudged the width and thought their was enough room
