Danny, trace back from your thumb, about an inch and a half and it should be there. Press hard and wait a few seconds. Keep feeling in that area, moving a mm or so at a time until you find it. Also, between 60-100 is normal and entirely dependant in the person. Those who exercise loads might have lower heart rates but it us not a given that they will. 69 bpm is fine for a 19 year old, probably about average. Mine is usually between 80-110 depending in my mood (I'm an anxious person, but also have a family history of tachycardia.) Like I said, these online things don't factor in any realistic factors which effect heart rate, or the fact that its individual and not always linked to fitness ( I met a patient recently with a bpm of 57 who had a history of a heart attack and chronic heart disease)

I was trying on my neck, forgot about getting it in your wrist as well.

Mine is 63. I wouldnt call myself fit though - the only exercise I do is walking around town on a saturday and 50 minutes out with the dog 3 times a week...I dont drink or smoke though, and try to eat healthily but have little willpower to stop me eating junk food

Do you often get nosebleeds and perforated eardrums whilst knocking one out?
