hi folks.
some halfwit t-boned my car last week, and tbh im 99% its goin be a write off. car was a v reg 306 hdi, but i got a feeling theyre goin offer me like a few hundred quid to settle the claim. thing is, for me to get another 306 hdi same spec as mine, im lookin minimum £1600 quid thats on ebau pistonheads and autotrader.
where do i stand, apart from loosing out big time?

ive had a similar thing in the past. they offer you say £350...
u need to say no there worth £1600 etc and show them proof of autotrader/pistonheads etc and they will pay up in full

If you prove to them the cost of getting a car of the same/age condition is more than they're offering they'll have to increase their offer.
When I wrote off my Corsa though they offered me about a grand more than I thought it was worse so I just said yes straight away

Yeah, theres plenty of things that could go wrong with it really
They'd probably want proof of the advert age with anything you used
