Hi Team,

Thought of some of you might like to see these vessels currently berthed in Leith. 2 of them, The Well Enhancer and Seawell are owned by Well Ops UK (Subsidiary of Helix ESG). The other (Wellservicer) is owned by Technip.

Enjoy

Well Enhancer:

Seawell:

Wellservicer (Seawell sister ship)

Saw awesome pieces of kit

The one in the top pictures reminds me of a ship that can stand upright in the water. I can't remember the name of it though but basically they flood the bow and then the ship stands upright in the water. Im sure i remember seeing it on TV.

JibJob I know the exact one you mean, I think it's the Dockwise vessel. It floods the hull, floats the semi sub over it and then pumps water out of the hull to bring it up to the right level again. Got some pics somewhere that I'll post!

We've just gone in for the contract to supply a Scottish firm with a 15m twin fall Dive support boat to operate from a mothership like those above.

This is our ARRC (Autonomous Rescue and Recovery Craft) and they are the biggest RIB in the world, Twin Deck superstructre, full oeprating theatre, twin 1000hp CAT Engines onto Waterjets and are part of BP's Jigsaw project; they operate from motherships and are the heaviest daughtercraft in the world at 32Tonnes...

In all honesty i cant remember. Im sure it was a research ship of some sort but i might be wrong.

The ones they use to build wind farms are usually on legs that sink to the sea bed and raise the ship arent they?

Ah ok, I saw a programme about the ship I'm on about. It uses hydraulic rams to lift itself up. Very impressvive.

Think it can Jack Up / Down about 35 metres mate and it weights about 9400 tons. Thats quite small compared with some Jack Up Drilling units though. They are stupidly big!
