Drive it first before you buy it, I think I still want one tbh but I went on a test drive with a fairly large guy in the passenger seat and couldn't even get it into 2nd gear.

yeah, you have to be friendly with your passenger as the seats are nearly touching
SteveW in mine with the roof on
made a small sub box to go behind the seat too with the amp under the passenger seat

very nice cars, but it would have to be a turbo one, the 2.2 seems to have no guts.

The 2.2 does 0-60 in less than 6 seconds.

ye that boy is me.
the 2.2 is decent, its pretty quick and the purists will say its the better handler being slightly lighter than the turbo.
they are very reliable and the only thing you really need to look out for is the timing chain and a cracked manifold.
good on juice, @ 168bhp i managed 38mpg to france
here is mine

I'm seriously considering one once i transition into my new role at work fully, and would be going for the 2.2 as i'd probably kill myself in the Turbo...
Plus, after seeing Chris's videos of his SC'd one, think i'd prefer to go for something along those lines...

with a supercharger added onto the 2.2 your looking at about 7k from a totally standard 2.2 to a 250bhp car.
ive spent in the reigon of £16,000 on the vx once i order these new internals.
