I've got absolutely loads to stick on eBay atm. Probably around 700 things.

Boxes and boxes of brand new wires, a few tv's, chairs, office stuff and some random warehouse stock i've got.

Is there a limit of things I can sell as a normal user, or would I have to open a shop?

Example...
I have 20 Dozen Pro V1 Golf balls, in dozen packs.
500 Ethernet 50m Cables in their packs.
50 Galvin Green Golf Gore-Tex Wet Suits
50 Lacoste Polo Shirts (Not Fake! )

As i'm getting u2u's may as well add some more bits on
200+ Mobile Phone Chargers
20+ Bluetooth Headsets
150 Telephones (From a call centre)
100 Headsets
80 Telecom Machines (No idea what they are!)
5 16 port Switches
2 Dell Servers (No Harddrives)
2 Large storage cabinets
1 Large Filing Cabinet
2 Inkjet Printers
6 Desktop Computers, 3 with TFT monitors, rest with CRT's
4 Laser Printers
2 Franking Machines
2 Large Magnetic Whiteboards
Water Cooler Dispensing Machine (Plus 2 massive water Jugs)
2 Chestnut awesome looking office chaires
And A Cuddly Panda Toy.

etc etc

Anybody run a shop? Is it costly?

What do you need to be eligable? Do they want company numbers and VAT numbers etc??

Thanks for any help

Not sure there is a limit but I think it will be cheaper on the fees as a proper shop. Not sure.

If you do 'Buy It Now' that's only 4 listings for the ones you've mentioned.

What about different sizes and colours etc?

Can I just use that as a standard user without the shop?

Thanks

Dont think you need to give them VAT numbers , you just have to be quite proper with your fees and stuff. And when you're treated as a business on ebay it gives the buyers more power for returns etc

For 20 Dozen?

They sell on ebay for around £25 + Delivery a dozen. So about £500 delivered. Thats me only making about £50 out of it. (I get them for 22.5 a dozen delivered).

They're in Golf Shops for around £30-£33.

Didn't think of that. Probably best breaking it down into sizes/colours with separate ads and quantities. I would say just let them specify in a note at checkout, but there could be an instance where you've ran out of a particular size and you let someone down. Unless you were really on the ball and updated your ad with the current stock as and when..

I don't think it's worth you paying for a shop at all tbh You could get by with standard user status.

Yeah, i've been on pages on there before where you can choose colour and size, they must put what stock they have on their end of eBay? I'm assuming this is a shop unless its an advanced sellers part i've not seen before...

I know what you mean, but I didn't mean that myself. I assume that would be a shop seller thing.

I just meant for them to add a note upon checkout. That's how I've had to do it previously when ordering clothes from other sellers. Then you'd literally edit your advert on ebay and change the html as per the stock you've got left.

£25 per dozen for the balls.

Galvin Green full gore-tex wetsuit - Probably be about £300, not worked prices out properly yet.

I have about 80 St Andrews of Scotland Golfing Wet Suits too. They would be about £40.

Shop's mean you pay a minimum (iirc) of £14.99 per month plus fee's.

You could go business user which then entitles you to become a power seller, top rated seller based on your feedback and number of transactions. As you gain these statuses your fee's go down (this is what I do)

Yeah, might be able to do it that way. Would be Cheeky and eBay might shout though...?

Phone app is handy as it would alert straight away. Might just get away with it.

Hmm thats quite handy, What are the current fee's about 10% of your final sale?

I think it depends on the value of the product you are selling (all mine are obv no more than £25 at tops) and I pay 40p for the initial listing, then yeh around 10% of each item sold as a final value fee, then PayPal have their cut too (I can never remember how much that is)

I get 30% discount by being a Top Rated and Power Seller off fee's overall (I get billed monthly)

I have business accounts with the brands.

I'm about to open up an online logo-golf ball shop for business corporate days, pretty much the same as this one;

http://www.logo-golfballs.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=70&gclid=CLDKoY-piqQCFSn-2AoddUdwHg

As for the wet suits - The Galvin Greens are last seasons stock. The St Andrews stuff was just cheap to sell on.
