I have a guilty secret
I honestly can't get enough of Motown style music
Theres just so many good songs both upbeat and mellow that suits all moods. I can guarantee that everybody has heard atleast one Motown song and knows the words.
I think it came from my mum playing it when i was little but i've never grown out of it and think its great!
Don't get me wrong though its not the type of music i listen to on a night out or anything like that but its just easy listening
My favourites:

I couldnt find the version i have but its the same song and similar vocals etc.

Is it just me that likes this type of music or am i seriously old for my age?

Lionel Ritchie cant get anymore Motown He was signed to the Motown label with both the Commodores as well as a single artist
That is a good call Budgie
Ye Ben E King was a doubt but i couldnt find the Ray Charles version and even then its a doubt but its a similar style.
That first video is a classic Cant believe ive never heard the second one though

Well worth the money. Its more about his life rather than the boxing and i thought it was great. I cant give too much away without spoiling it

I think Motown was more a label and a movement rather than a genre of music now i think about it but it encompasses all the sort of blues/soul/etc
And thanks Its nice to know im not alone in listening to it

I think he's very much like Stevie Wonder. Same kind of forumlaic (sp) music.. His songs build and the key changes.

I'll agree with that but theres only him and Big Barry that you could put on in the background for a little bit atmosphere on a date !
