Just curious on some facts, i want to see what is the best route to take on a car owning career, in terms of money saving etc
Also include a figure of what you think you can get back if you sold everything (car capital)
For cost of ownership, i include all repairs, but not tyres, petrol, tax or insurance.
i just worked out i've been
driving for 10yrs
5 cars
spent about £18-19k
could probably sell everything for £3-4k

i have been driving for 3 years and had 5 cars. wouldnt like to know what i have spent would probably be sick!

driving for 2 years in febuary.
had 6 cars
spent around 3k tops(del boy)
i made around 1kback maybe a little more. i scrap them learnt a mistake of selling them, seem to get jelous when i see them again

Ok then - I'd hazard a guess at around 40-50k.
Not too bad 4-5k a year average!!

£7-8k prob.
Was a named driver for 2 years and saved about £1500, the 3YNC I have now compared to 5YNC I could have have would defo not saved me £1500 maybe £100

I've been driving 8 years, owned 54 cars and 6 bikes. Spent thousands but I've not lost anything, made profit on nearly every car so servicing, tyres etc have all been paid for. Current car I jointly own with my other half and its the only car that depreciation has effected and I will lose out on when we sell it.
