Got a 147 today but stopped to ask what the prize money was for a maximum and when told it was only £4k for the highest break went to shake everyones hand when only the black was on the table

Ref had to persuade him to pot it. Hes a fucking looney but i like him When hes on his game he is out of this world good.

Legend! Only snooker player I will go out my way to watch. The look on Mark Kings face when Ronnie left the black was brilliant!

What prize money would he get for a 147? Surely its more than just ht highest break?

From reading the BBC site, there is no price fund for a 147 in that tournament. They just give £4k to whoever gets the highest break.
