Its a bit shit After all the hype the campaign is so-so, not much of a single player anymore, and the multiplayer is just stupid, all these shitty game modes and jet packs and all that shit. CoD is much better, anyone know the trade in prices (probably GS credit...) for Reach?

I've done the first 6 chapters of campaign so far and its alright but I've never been a Halo fan anyways.
Haven't tried MP or Firefight yet.

I get bored of the campaign, whats with needing to use 2 clips of ammunition with the machine gun to kill one big enemy And then one of the little guys charges a pistol up which kills you instantly.
And dont get me started on the steering controls for the human cars The hovercrafty things are ok though

erm i was expecting something truely epic but yeah bit of a let down.
I quite liked the campaign. the annoying thing for me is i want to know what happened to jun.
Also if john was a spartan 3 in halo reach why is he a spartan 2 in other games.

Total shit.. They have removed all the bits that made Halo good and replaced them with the bits that make COD shit.

It's because Halo isn't COD. They play completely differently... if you've played halo before you must have had some idea what to expect, no?

I played the original on PC and didnt think much to it. I figured after all the hype this one would be alright, but it just isn't. Obviously just my opinion, but I really dont rate it. Few friends on Live that agree with me as well, and some of them were Halo nuts

fair enough, it's not for everyone. I loved the first one although I played it way back when it came out on the first Xbox, I can imagine it not having the impact to people playing it later on.
As for Reach I think it's a cracking game, single-player wise it's so much better than MW2 and I'm enjoying the multiplayer too, if you don't want to play all the different game modes just stick to Team Slayer.

Single player - I never got past the Airport mission in CoD, went Multiplayer and stayed there!
I selected Team Slayer but everytime we start a game you have to vote and it always goes to Elite slayer or something else.
Im just not keen that you empty an entire clip at someone and their shield falls, then its time to reload and off you go again but by then they've head shotted you Maybe its just because Im shit but I just dont get it. And the Jetpack nonsense

Elite Slayer is still Slayer, just a variation of it, Slayer Pro Classic Slayer etc are just the same game with slightly different loadouts and stuff.
As for the shields thing that's just Halo innit, how it's always been. use your grenades to pop the shields then shoot them, or use a Plasma weapon if you have one then shoot them with your other gun, or get them from behind, or etc etc etc. The shield mechanic is what differentiates Halo from other shooters like COD.
It's not better or worse, just different.

When does it say he is a 3 in Reach? I didnt even notice he got a mention
I enjoyed it from the story side of things, but imo the game is way too short. Should have stuck ODST and this together like they did with Halo 2 with MC and The Arbiter, im sure it wouldnt have been to difficult to get the stories to cross over. Suppose Bungie wouldnt make as much money that way though...
Fingers crossed for some DLC to find out what happens to Jun.

You're playing as master chief. you not get the whole cortana bit at the end and that 'i have you' bit.
also some of the bits were carbon copies of halo 3. bit where he standing on the pelican and puts his rifle over the back and stepping off whilst in transit.
or the fact that he likes to jump off things from very very very high hights. probably due to the fact that jorge threw him off the covenant shit at an early stage in his career.

Lifted from halo wiki:
Halo: Reach takes place in late 2552, during the Covenant invasion of the Human colony world Reach, which also serves as the main military center of the UNSC. The game follows Noble Team, a six-man special operations unit of one SPARTAN-II and five SPARTAN-III commandos
Jorge served with Noble Team under the call sign "Noble Five" during the Fall of Reach in 2552. He acted in the capacity of heavy weapons specialist, and was the only SPARTAN-II on the team

No you dont, at the end of the game you stay on Reach and the Autum goes off with MC on board and then it shows the very first cut scene from the first Halo.
I got all the stuff where he was doing things the same, maybe there brothers?

Theres a scene at the end of reach campaign where the autumn is taking off and a pelican is landing in its hangar, if you push one of the sticks to the right the camera pans round and MC is there in his cryo tube.

Would imagine thats because the MC and the other spartans come from Reach? So the last time Cortana interacted with MC would be before he left as he is the only spartan able to take an AI.

i sit corrected. but you have to admit theres alot of similarities (sp) between MC and N6.
Also the cortanna bit at the start of halo 3 saying i picked you because i saw something that the others didnt luck.
fits perfectly into reach. im a lil dissapointed that i wasnt playing as mc now
