Right well if the corsa goes hopefully next week then i have narrowed what i want down to 2. Astra Mk5 diesel estate or Focus Estate diesel. Just want some advice really from people that have had any experiance of either.
Things i want to know are, driving experiance comfort, build quality, best for budget if you can think of others then please help.
Examples of each me and the mrs have agreed on are as follows
The Focus
The Astra
so any sensible help would be greatly appreciated.

I want the Corsa, but don't hae that kind of disposable cash atm
Driven both cars (Although not estate version of the Astra).
In all honesty, i'd probably go for the Focus, less noisey and nice and comfy to drive.
What about a Vectra? They're pretty cheap now.

Estates FTL
Other than that, 80ps engine is deadly slow. 14 seconds to 60
For that reason alone it would have to the be Focus

the 1.7 is what falls into budget to be honest. The 1.9 is just that bit out of budget otherwise it would be 1.9.
Vectra 2 big for Melissa tbh.

i work on the line building the engine that's in that focus, although i started in 2007 so it wasn't produced in dagenham
good car the focus, my grandad has an estate petrol. build quality is pretty good, nothing to really go wrong.
