Hmmm Anyone know much about these?
Looking at the early ones and im liking them alot. What are they like to live with?
im going to guess theyre dog slow but thats not my top priority tbh. Doing alot more customer visits for work and turning up in a corsa seems like a shit thing to do

cheers

Good for you for wanting to make a good impression, but if you work isn't bothered about you turning up in your Corsa, you shouldn't be really.

Definetly go for the 1.8T over the 1.6.

I did exactly the same for the same reasons; plus crunching the miles in a corsa made of toilet rolls and body filler got tiring. I went from a 1.2 8v Corsa to a 1.8T sport A3 - I didn't mind it, immensly practicle with the fold flat rear seats, gives a better impression to a customer (not necessarily a wow look at that impression, more that they don't look at it and go, oh my god a chavved up corsa); reasonably well equipped, comfortable for distance driving; enough poke for a bit of fun blah blah blah

I regret getting rid and replacing with my Jag tbh

My mates 1.8T golf is very problematic, always some form of sensor/valve fault.

yes about 190 to 200 out of the 150 engine

Past experience would suggest to stay clear - not that ecomoical and electrics/sensors can be very probmatic

My mate got an a3 1.8t at 120k it's now on 150 or so and it's spot on. He only mod is a huge dump valve and interior neons so you can probably guess how it's driven

Mine had that problem with the Fuel system and coils going at the same time but to be hoenst, I never had too many problems. The fuel system issues were put down to dogy fuel anyway
