just got back in from being in a car accident, car looks a complete write off, all front smashed in, both rads, bumper, lights, bonnet, slam pannel ect. in a huge amount of pain now, my back, nech, arms, legs and foot are killing

was driving over a rail way bridge that is really narrow with a bad bend at the other side, as i came round the bend a white van didnt make the bend at all and slid straight into my car me an the 3 kids was all checked out in ambulance and 4 cop cars attended

sorry to hear that chloe.

make sure you get yourself checked over properly again as you'll feel the pain tomorrow as i did in my neck/back.

you will get a big pay-out, especially with kids in the car for injuries.

cars can be replaced, loved one's can't.

was more concerned for the kids, the youngest was screaming an said she hurt but she was ok after half hour, then the eldest one started complaining of stomach ache, been told to go straight to a&e if things get any worse

i was going 25mph max, i know how bad the corner is it is shocking how much damage can happen at such slow speeds, not sure what speed he was going but he locked his brakes up and slid straight into me

Hope you're alright, I know what it's like myself, similar sort of thing happened to me.

A mate who was in the rear middle seat (lap belt) had a weird stomach ache and it turned out to be internal bleeding and had to have a couple of operations. Not that I'm trying to frighten you, just saying to keep a close eye on the eldest.

thanks everyone, the eldest was sat in one of the side seats, the youngest was in the middle, all seats have full shoulder belts though

should i phone my insurance now or wait till the morning? i want to get my alloys an exhaust system off the car

anyone have any 5 stud vaux alloys going cheap?

Really really sorry to hear that Chloe. Really hope you and the little ones are okay. I know how much pain I was in when I was in a car accident so really sympathise with you x

thanks shell, been advised to get checked out properly tomorrow by a doc so hopfully i can get some strong pain killers to take the edge off the pain, going to keep a close eye on the kids tonight an think i will keep them off school tomorrow

phone insurance now if possible. where is the car? they won't come and collect it tonight anyway, usually takes a while for someone to come and recover it if it's at your home.

Call us as soon as possible on 0844 543 4422. Lines are open 8am - 9pm Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm Saturday and 10am - 4pm Sunday.

i thought insurance companys were open 24 hours to report a claim
