We said we would have this Corsa SXi as we got told it was silver and put a deposit down on it on the basis that it was SILVER the colour that we wanted.

Rachel just spoke to the salesman and the car is lightning silver which is a metallic grey colour which isn't the end of the world but it's not the colour or the car that we paid the deposit on.

So I noticed in the corner of the showroom that they now sell Team Dynamics as optional extras, they need to sell the car by Thursday to boost up their end of month figures, do you reckon that because the car isn't what we were told I should ask for a set of 17" Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 in gloss black otherwise we will walk away and find another one?

No harm in trying if they say no turn round to walk out, see if they change their mind

May as well try. I think that's a nicer colour than normal silver anyway.

Na I love silver Corsas think they look so smart, lightning silver look shit unless the suns on it.

I'm well pissed off truth be told, I was looking forward to having a silver Corsa again seeing as both me and Rach had star silver Corsa B's

I'm going to start throwing my weight around in Vauxhall (and then collapse)

That would piss me off to. I would probably walk away out of principle. Wheels wouldn't do anything for me.

If you don't like that colour then don't get the car. You obviously have your heart set on a silver Corsa so you're not going to be happy with this one.

I think what he's saying is that he doesn't really want that colour but if they throw in the £400+ wheels then he'll be able to live with it.

I'd go for it, but only if you deffo want to walk away if they don't give you the wheels. Are you sure it's not a good enough deal to just get it in another shade of silver from what you want?

I don't mind the colour but because I've worked myself up that I will have a silver one I'm more disapointed than I should be really, and Rachel really likes the colour and shes the one driving it on a daily basis so I only account for 50% of the decision but my 50% now wants a set of decent wheels on it and Rachel does agree with me that they have mis sold the car.

I'm deffo going to push hard for these wheels.

Yeah the wheels will sharpen up the looks a bit, it's the principal of it.

The deal is too good and I will still go through with it for Rachels sake but I'm just miffed that it's not the colour I was expecting.

Rach has said to me that I should go in there and say

"oh thats not the colour we were expecting it, we thought lightning silver was a lighter shade, hmm not sure Rachel is gonna like this, maybe with a set of grey wheels it might make it look a bit nicer"

Why pay for something you didnt ask for? Is the car brand new?

Some how I dont see Vauxhall giving you those wheels, at most you might get a set of free mats.

Just tell them you don't want the car and buy a different one. Everyone wants something for nothing.

No it's 2nd hand, done 10k miles on a 57 plate. It's the spec we want.

Only thing I'm hoping for is I arrive and it's wearing the styling kit and has been already spec'd with the 17's

Paid a deposit which is refundable as we hadn't actually seen the car yet.

Going to see it when I finish in an hour.
