They are going to be shafted if that rule about only being allowed to spend what you earn comes in

Fucking crazy money, I can't see how its a "business" when you lose amounts like that.
Especially when they can't even play as a team, was watching them last night, the talent on the pitch is immense, just can't put it all together.

'The figures also do not include the summer expenditure, or the wages, following the arrivals of the likes of Yaya Toure, David Silva, Jerome Boateng and Mario Balotelli.'
This shouldn't be allowed to happen. Living within your means and all that.

I've just been reading on M.E.N. a comment by a City fan who says that they can get round the spending what you earn rule fairly easily by selling the executive boxes at £10m a time for a season and the Sheikh will buy them all therefore still funding the club but it's classed as their turn over. What a con if that turns out to be true.

£120m loss on top of the 90m loss of the year before so £210m and counting.
Considering all the spending this summer it would not supprise me so see them hit £300/£350m by the end of it.
Makes Arsenals 50+m profit look even more impressive

"On a lighter note, the report reveals that 12,000 of manager Roberto Mancini's trademark scarves were sold at £8 each and the most popular name printed on the back of shirts was that of Tevez.
It adds that 408 plush heated seats were installed for boardroom and chairman's guests and improvements to catering at the stadium include 30 per cent bigger pies."
well now I've seen that all the spending can be justified

Re what mwg said about the city fans thinking selling stupidly prices seats to balance it, here what someone said on the spur forum I go on
"I hear Citeh fans bleating that they will have golden seats at CoMs, at a cost of £10m each, 100 of those brings in £100m in turnover..... however, UEFA have already stated that all revenue streams must sit within what is deemed fair market value........
For example, if you have a shirt sponsor at £10m a year, and all of a sudden they have an Arab company paying £100m a year, this will be inadmissable as part of their turnover on the grounds that it is not fair market value......"

I hope thats the case anyway you cant have some stupid team who have not won anything in 34 years suddenly getting tonnes of money and thinking they can buy success and bend rules to their suiting. Would be hilarious if they finally came 4th and where not allowed in the champs league.
