Just went and bought shocks and springs for the Corsa, seller told me they were Koni, so we agreed a price and I went and collected them. Go them home had a good look at them and APEX is engraved on them.

So there not Konis, there APEX. Are apex any good or should I phone him and tell him I want my money back? Heard good thngs about Koni but never seen much about apex.

If there decent though I'll just leave it.

Depends how much you paid, Apex aren't exactly an expensive brand.

I had a 60mm Apex shocks and springs kit on my B and it was pretty good I thought, quite hard but you could chuck it round any corner I haven't tried Koni though so can't compare.

Ive always though Apex were middle of the range.Have a look at online prices and compare them to Koni etc and that should give you an idea.

I would check the springs then. If they're yellow then it's probably an Apex kit. £80 isn't bad though seeing as I bought the lot brand new for £250ish. Just check the springs aren't some budget nonsense like Gmax or Jamex first. Even if they are you could probably sell them and get a new Apex spring set

Theres no writing or nothing on the springs so I don't know. There red so they could be Jamex, but Konis are red as well.

Will just have to fit them and see what there like.

The front shockers don't have APEX on them and theres no sticker so no idea what make they are

The springs have a few scratches so can only just make out the numbers but it looks like this to me,

100 100 33108

I have apex -60s on mine with jamex shocks and its awful.ive never been happy with any of the 5 different makes and set ups iv had on my corsa,

Sick of the harsh ride so much im considering going back to standard springs and shocks.

Have you tried different shockers? Jamex are proper budget items, probably the worst out there

Koni are pretty bad? Another clueless statement, Koni are at the higher end of suspension kits you twat. Only Bilstein are better so that puts Koni at the top end of kits.

There fucked anyway

Was wire brushing what I was told was 'surface rust' and seen a small bit of something wet, poked it and the fucking thing exploded and all the oil pissed out

Got in contact with him by text, wouldn't answer the phone to me, he told me you can't buy something then break it and ask for a refund .

Told him I would come up to his house and we'd sort it, took them off me and gave me 2 GM rear shockers and said you can use them!

So now I've got 2 Apex front shocks, 2 GM rears and some shitty springs that was supposed to be a full Koni setup

Should've done

I just took the shocks and put his name all over the internet

I need to buy more rear shocks though, don't really want standards on the rear.

Was thinking of trying these with my apex -60s with them being slightly uprated and and can be used with lowering springs or standards.
