Some of you might know I've had a bit of trouble with a suspension setup I've bought. http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=576962
Any way I've now been left with 60mm springs, front APEX shocks and standard GM rear shocks.
Will it be fine to run them with the standard rears and lowered 60mm and what will the ride be like?

i dont think it would be hard at all, just when you go over a bump it might bounce more?

Won't it just break the shocks because they're more likely to bottom out?

i went with 40 on the rear with standard shocks, wasnt aware of them getting damaged, then again when i got the uprated shocks they went straight in the bin. are you planning on using them for good?

I'm about to experience a similar problem (?)
Gonna lower my car tomorrow, both front and back on Apex springs (60mm) on standard shocks.

If its any consolation i have Apex springs on my corsa, although it has uprated shocks as well, but i think they're good springs for the money, alot less crashy than the ta technix (with chopped rears) that were on before

Whats the ride like Phillip with bilstein on front and standards on rear? Does it bounce much on bumps etc and the shocks bottom out?

Ive got 40mm all round on standard shocks on 13 inch steelies at the moment and it looks more like 60mm, it is quite bouncy when you go over bumps to fast but if you go over them slow like your meant too when lowered then its not bad, its just when the roads uneven its bouncy, but its easy enough to cope with, like I said though thats 40mm all round!

Ride is alot stiffer with the bilsteins on, there only B4's aswell, cant wait to get them on the back, got them sat in the shed just need to fit them, standard shocks isnt that bad if you cant afford uprated, but i would get them as soon as you can as you do get scary moments every now and again if your pushing the car

Been offered G-max rear shocks for £30. They worth it?
