Right the other day i was driving along and my car cut out.
Pulled over to find the wire for the crank sensor had melted to the manifold. Re-wired it and it didn't work still wouldn't start. It'll turn over but no spark.
Changed the crank sensor for a 2nd hand one. Same problem.
Changed the dizzy cap and rotor arm. Same problem.
Checked all the voltages - 2 wires on the coil 12v, output from coil 6v up to 13v when turning over, end of king lead 6v-13v, **black plug on dizzy 6v all the time**.
All the earths are fine, all the lives are fine, all the fuses are fine.
Any ideas whats causing it?
Faulty crank sensor again? Dizzy blown?
Need help asap as i need to identify the problem, pay for the parts, fix it and text it by the 17th!!

The fuels fine- theres good pressure at the rail and the relay is clicking away.
Is it possible the new sensor is a dud?

Harsh to say it, but as its happend after the crank sensor wiring has melted it could have spiked the ecu.
Try another crank sensor on it though ofc

So possibly new ECU if its not the sensor? I'll have to ask Tom (ecclesturbo) nicely if he'll come down with a load of parts so i can test it all. ECU was a ballache to get behind the plastic trim as well!

I had to move all the wires out of the way and push them up to the top and zip tie them well out of the way. Then put the ECU so the ECU plug is pointing towards the engine and as far to the right as you can. Then comes the tricky bit, you have to take the plastic and push it back on but also pull the edge of the ECU closest to the seat outwards so it goes into the curve of the plastic and then just push it on as hard as you can it takes a while to get it but it can be done
