Last time i broke down was on a dual carriageway. Lucky there was a hard shoulder.
172 quid down with no car till the next day. Luckily inwas only 35 miles away. Had to take a jerry can full of petrol in my old school bag the next day, on a train.

Well i did make it there and back, wanted to see if i could do it all without putting any petrol in so i could keep all the money he paid me... Im not tight honestly.

The needle didn't move when i set off, so im guessing i shouldn't risk it again really ha

With my Corsa it wasn't when the light went on you had to worry, it's when it went back off again

One of the corsas I had the petrol gauge didn't work at all.

Great fun in an XE when you get somebody trying to race you. Running out of petrol FTL.

I tried that with my XE. Needle didn't even move, I was at work and had left my wallet at home. Had a tenner on me, and it was a 10 mile trip home. Well, it came down to either getting petrol, or taking a 5 mile detour to Kirkcaldy to get a takeaway first THEN make it home. Lets just say the kebab was amazing whilst I sat broken down waiting on assistance.

Can't be any worse than trying to start it after its been sat for 2 weeks! Lets just say i think i used most of my petrol getting it to run properly and stop idling at 500rpm!
