less stress on the engine generally, depending on charger/ gearing of said charger,

How? A supercharger runs off a belt from the engine, so would put strain on it that way, plus both ways are forced induction running a certain amount of psi, so although different, both have the same affects.

superchargers sap power from the engine as theyre ran off the crank pulley so id say it puts more stress on the engine compared to a turbo.

deffo more stress, the same stress levels caused by boost from a turbo plus the stresses of it running off the crank.

look at Chris's Vx220 hes already blown a headgasket

Yes superchargers use engergy BUT they do NOT put more stress on the engine when compared to a turbo charger setup.

The extra boost created by a super charger is far more predictable than that produced by a turbo as its relative to engine speed for that reason it is far easier to map the fueling and ignition timing.

A Turbo is basically a convinient way to bake your oil to the point its completely fucking useless as a means of lubrication and them pump it straight back into the sump where it can be used again.

The way i see it. because it is running off the engine it is only limited to what the engine can make it produce there is no extra force on the engine its just being assisted by the supercharger.
The turbo on the other hand is Putting power into the engine ( in a way of speaking ) and is forcing it to do more.

a turbo is only running off what the engine can produce aswell lol

both are forcing air into the engine at similar volumes

one uses a pulley and runs off the crank the other runs off the exhaust fumes.

Ahh but the turbo is almost a paradox, the faster the turbo spins, the more exhaust gases are produced, the more exhaust gases the faster the turbo and so on.. Thats why they have a waste gate.

The act of compressing a gas creates heat so both have this issue BUT there is also the added factor of heat soak when it comes to a turbo, higher inlet temperatures = lower air density and a greater chance of detonation.

Turbo's usually put more strain on the engine due to the harsh delivery of power, punch at 4000rpm where the torque can double depending on turbo and engine etc, assuming ebc isn't being used, where as centrifugal superchargers are progressive and the engine isn't taking a big hit.
