Does anybody watch this?
Just got hold of the first season and I'm about 5 episodes in and not really feeling it. Does it go anywhere, as so far it seems that somebody has an accident, nobody knows what to do, until House looks at a random object and has a genius idea on how to cure them. Does it carry on like that?

Yup watch it, got all of the seasons/series here. First season is a bit shite, but it certainly gets better as it goes on. Current season is a bit "meh" though, hopefully it'll pick up.

Its a bit hit and miss. Hugh Laurie's American accent is annoying. The fit bird has issues and House's methods are laughable.

Hugh Laurie accent in the first series is a bit  But it does get better  Saying that, Jeeves and Wooster is where it's at if you like Laurie

House is one of the few things I make sure I watch.
Definetly gets better as it goes one imo.

The basic plot to each episode is pretty much the same in that someone falls over, goes to hospital, gets worse, nearly dies, House has a random moment and fixes it just like that. Sometimes it changes but as the series go on they mix in more and more of the characters' lives which makes it a lot more interesting rather than seeing basically the same thing over and over
In short: It does get better as it goes on 
P.S. And boom goes the dynamite.
