ive go a nikon d50
and my mate wants a phew photos takeing of her for a test shoot

now i used to take quite a few snaps here and there
but havnt touched a camera in months i not years now

i love the effect of blurred backgrounds
how do i manage this with just camera settings and not photoshopping it all??

to put it simply, to get a nice depth of field you need to shoot with a nice wide aperture. which lens are you planning on using?

shoot at 50mm+ and low aperture and bobs your uncle

although be careful when using low f number as you'll have to up the shutter speed to compensate which if your using flashes can be a pain with sync speeds and shizz.
