A lot of the breaking cars will be CAT A/B's.. So condemed and you'd not be able to buy the car.

Some of the stuff that looks mint will be stolen recovered / cut and shuts etc.

Why can you not buy CAT A's or B's? I thought it would be fine as long as they just didn't see the road again, as in for spares.

Cat A vehicles must be destroyed, as is! You can't take ANYTHING from the car.

Cat B can be broken up by authorised ELV breakers but must not return to the road.

So in the instance of you writing your car off, if it's worse than a CAT C you don't get the option to buy it back from them? That's a bit crap, can see the point in them not wanting majorly damaged bits being traded though.

Nope, you can't have it back. But then again if you Cat B'd it you'd probably be more concerned about learning to walk again

Cat A stuff nothing can be salvaged? Not even cosmetic stuff which has somehow survived the impact? How bad is that? I can understand them not wanting the chassis and engines back on the road but other parts...
