Basically i need a new rear abs sensor as i must have damaged mine when i removed my rear beam as the lights coming on.

The part is all one piece for both rear wheels, and brand new one from Ford is 77 quid.

Not desperate for it, il just roll for a while with no abs doesnt bother me in particular, will get a new one at some point, but i thought id just have a quick stab at picking one up from a breakers 2nd hand, would be worth it if it was just a tenner or something just to get rid of the light for now.

go on the 247spares or whatever it is as iv had good quotes on there for stuff, get an email this morning with a quote.

For a USED abs sensor i was quoted £90!

Jesus wept i was in two minds about ringing them up and asking if it was a joke

ebay or puma forum would probably be a better bet for someone splitting a car.

Can test them with a multimeter to check they are good before parting with cash

I picked up a front one for my vts for £8 a month or so back from someone breaking a car. £85 + VAT from shitron though

If it's fitted it must work.

Or, at least, the lights indicate it's working.

i was under the impression that if the car left the factory with it, it must be there thats what i was told anyway

and the system will tell them if it left the factory with it

Thats what I thought tbh. If it isnt there, how could they expect it to be working?

If that was the case, a car wouldnt pass an MOT with a stripped out rear as the seatbelts arnt there, but came in the car from factory. They can't test something that isn't there, so it can't fail on it.
