in a straight line doesnt make a huge amount of diffrence, still better than 4WD bogging down off the line. no indersheet to worry about on a srag strip. aslong as you can put the power down thats all that matters, and in a FWD and front engined car most of the weight is over the front wheels giving them good traction, is you had a light stripped oor RWD car with a front engine, EG. BMW it would be harder to put the power down as less weight over the back wheels.
It is however possiable that im talking bolocks cus i have no idea just trying to apply some common sense to the idea
