im doing a vectra brake conversion from a vectra onto my corsa sport. got the calipers and carriers from the vectra , bought 256mm disks today and ofcourse they didnt fit because vectras have 286mm which i didnt know. also, the vectra i got it off is 5 stud and according to the local motor factors there isnt a 286mm in 4 stud, the nearest is off the meriva which is 280mm with 60 bore.
my question is: am i able to use the vectra calipers etc which are 286 with the 280mm disks, if so will this mean the 6mm on the pad wont be used ? and cause uneven wear on the pad?
do you think id be able to use this setup or would you advise against it? if you do advise against it, what would you recommend i used?

people do use the 280mm disks, i would personally eithe get the 286mm 5 studs redrilled to 4, or buy 4 stud 286mm disks from lmf

the ones on lmf are too much money im afraid, they arent even going to be seen as ive got cav slabs, i dont really want to use the 280mm but if i have to , i need to know if they are safe and legal?

there are a few people using them on here i think, can also use fiat coupe disks aswell but as i said id just get the 5 studs re drilled

vectras are 288mm calibra turbos are 288mm, if your planning to use the meriva discs use cavalier turbo or saab 900 calipers and carriers

I have the vectra calipers and fiat coupe 284 disc`s, there great, just a bit of a pain putting the wheel on but stop great

lol, what about wearing of the disk or pad, dont they wear uneven?

280mm meriva and 284mm fiat coupe ones are both 4 stud
