They are all illegal unless they have mot tax and insurance you could ride them
On private land police could section 59 you if your caught in say a tescos car park I've got a pitbike but im as is got a friend with a motocross track in his garden so we just ride there

Minimotos you can take to a special track and race them. Same goes for scooters unless you've got tax and insurance for scooter and too a CBT test.

As said, you can only use them in PROPER private land (such as your own garden, not Tescos) and tracks. Most gokart tracks have moto days. Get a Minimoto! You can get Blata 4.2's for next to nothing and fucking HELL they are quick

The police WILL find a way of doing you for that. Trust me. It isn't exactly private land. If you do go on one, you will get done with no insurance, no mot, no tax.
As said, aye, don't fall off
That's my Blata Elite 4.2
"Supposed" to be 4.2hp but they normally dyno at 6-7bhp and fuck me it's mental 45+mph a foot and a half from the ground

Official line is that they can only be used on private land - not parks, pavements, car parks etc. Riders can be dealt with via either Section 59 - seizure of bike and warning to rider. Bike cannot be reclaimed. Other way of dealing is via Setion 165 of Road Traffic Act (SOCAP) seizure for no licence or no insurance. Bike seized, wont be able to recover it as you wont be able to get a policy on a mini moto. Then rider reported for no licene or no insurance. minimum 6 points, £200 fine.

Big sproket on it as well, so quick off the mark, I want to be 15 again

Because the Government made laws under the Police Reform Act 2007. The main issue is that alot of the public consider them as anti-social - tearing up and down residential streets at all hours. If you enjoy them, you dont see it as a problem, but if you don't....
To compare it to something as irritating - if your neighbour had put their stereo on full chat at 10pm last night, or 7am this morning, while you were trying to sleep then you would be annoyed by it. Old people (without stereotyping, they are generally reporting it to Police where i work) feel the same about the bikes.
The laws also changed a few yrs ago about what is classed as a public place, and therefore what can be done on car parks etc. I learnt to drive in my dad's Sapphire Cosworth 11yrs ago, driving round Safeay carpark. Never when busy, and never a problem. This now would be no insurance, no licence etc.
I nearly wiped a mini moto out outside my house - 10pm, black helmet, black clothes racing up and down at 30mph+. He would have gone straight under the 4x4 we had at the time. Thats why they arent allowed on the roads - becuase of idiots.
And to those who think I am a miserable arse about this stuff - my lad has a go-kart powered by a mini- moto engine. Built by me and my father-in-law. Does 30 mph. He, however, rides it on private land and only where safe /sensible and with hat, gloves and an adult. Mini motos arent a nuisance. Just idiots who use them inappropriately.
