Anybody ever damaged there knee?
Had an MRI scan the other day on my knee it turns out i've snapped my anterior cruciate ligament as well as damaging some of the cartilage. I've been told i need an operation to reconstruct the ligament and trim the cartilage back.
Has anybody had the same surgery, what was your recovery like?
From doing some research on the internet it seems recovery back to full is a pretty extended period circa 6-12months!

I know a couple of people who have done the same. When playing sports they have to wear leg braces like Steve Austin.

2 x medial cruciate ligament tears, currently recovering from one at the moment. 1 st time I was sidelined for just under a year, this time it's expected 8 months as surgical techniques are better now.
Broken right leg on trial in Brazil. Out for about 5months.
Torn hamstring as a teenager, out for around 2 months.
There is no such thing as a medial cruciate they are two seperate things its either a cruciate ligament (anterior or posterior ACL, PCL) or a medial ligament. Why did no body pick up on him sooner.
