hi, going to York with a lady friend this week
Do you think its cool to do the boat cruise and also york dungeons?
As per http://www.yorkboat.co.uk/shop/daytime-city-cruises/
Gonna arrive around 1230 so can do the 1.30pm boat trip and then 4-5pm dungeon before going back home around 7.30pm
Anything else I should consider? Obviously looking for bars and a nice pub or restaurant, maybe a tea room!?
Any suggestions?

I live right next to York and ive still never done the dungeon, the river tour or the walls
Tea rooms?! Suppose you could go to Bettys if you want to queue for ages to buy overpriced tea for some reason.
Plenty of bars and pubs around, just go in one that takes your fancy, most are decent.

Walking around the wall is nice to do if it's a nice day, takes a couple of hours.
Never been on the boat trip cos it looks wank, might be worth doing if she's your piece. If not and you're looking to impress then wouldn't bother.
Otherwise, try going to one of the bars along the river like Revolution, pitcher & piano and chilling out there.
Also, the minster as a last resort.

I work in York and would never take a girl on the boat trips. Waste of money imo as there isn't a lot to see apart from some shopping trolleys partly submerged in the ouse.
Plenty of places to get something to eat drink, Bettys and Browns tea rooms are good but arent particularly cheap. But plenty of bars like Revolution, Orgasmic, Yates, Slug & Lettuce etc

i was there today as the 500 had a recall... sunny as heck and VERY busy with kids off. Allow 20 min extra to get there
romance/torist = boat
scared/cuddles = dungeons
cool/talking = bars
