I went to Australia for 3 weeks. Would have loved to have gone for longer but we got absolutely loads in in the space of 3 weeks, including 2 nights in Hong Kong.

I think it was about £3k including flights.
Flights were £850 return with Cathay Pacific including a 2 night stopover in HK.
We did loads of excursions including a 3night sailing trip round the Whitsundays/Great Barrier Reef and a 2day offroading trip on Fraser Island.
We stayed in hostels which made it quite cheap.

I thought she was young, that's why I was confused when you said she was going to Australia - at first I assumed she was on her own

I plan to do a trip that's at least 3 weeks either every 2 years or every year. That way I get to do the whole travelling thing but can still have a job. Which means I can spend more while I'm on these trips....

Has anyone ever had 4 weeks off work? LMAO.
I get 7-8 weeks off every summer, I can take unpaid sabaticals etc. I fucking love my job. Hell, I can even use my bonus to buy extra days off.
Plan on spending a minimum of a month rowing and climbing my way across France next year.

Yup, worked in a school. To be honest it's fairly common in the academic industry, know a few people that work in uni's and do a few long trips abroad every year.

I love the 'haters'. I can understand it though, if I was a chav without a bean to scratch my arse with I wouldn't like some obnoxious, financially fluid individual either as I would probably be an envious hater in that situation.

I said financially fluid, I didn't say 'rich', 'millionaire' etc.

I know I was just curious what you class as financially fluid.

The guy is a blow hard. He drives a Metro and copies and pastes jokes on internet forums to make himself feel good.
He'll be sitting in a darkened room refreshing corsasport vociferously to see if his name is being mentioned with barely a pot to piss in.
Fucking bonus

I couldn't envisage anything that I may experience that would wipe my cash reserves out.
To put it a better way, I was recently buying a house (already partially own one) that was only available to cash buyers as it was a right state, so you wouldn't get a mortgage against it. That wouldn't have wiped me out either.
I'm not even gracing that two bob Scottish ponce with a responce. I get bored of the deluded little scrote following my every post. Hopefully he will find something else to shower with his attention?

What happens when your metro needs another set of racing tyres?
Will you be able to afford them or will that dint your vast savings?

What, as I just replaced the fronts and have some Compomotives in the garage with another full set on?
What will happen when you next need a coat to keep you dry in the rain but the council haven't given you any binbags?

I still live with my parents, I'd ask them to buy me one with their vast wealth.
