I need to purchase a wired alarm with some pet friendly sensors.
What do you guys recommend?
The electrics have all been done and I just need the system

The Honeywell stuff from screwfix aint too bad:

You can add extra pet PIR's etc and look an easy installtion.

The Texecom expensive stuff looks nice, but I'm not sure what I need exactly.
Control Panel
3 x Pet sensors
Outside box thing
Not sure what else. I guess I could add to it later with things like door sensors and shit.

Yeah Texecom Premier is what I've got. I thnk the keypads alone were something like £130 each though. They do look nice though, and it's been installed without a wire in sight

I would go for window knock sensor, pir detection just means they actually got in.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I need a wireless alarm system, I have the wiring ready for the control box but want wireless sensors. Any advice?

From someone that works with an alarm company, I would steer clear of wireless stuff altogether. It's crap.
We use EMS stuff and it is forever breaking down.

Yeah try and stay clear of wireless gear it's a pain and the batterys go all the time.
I've always fitted Texecom Veritas gear. Not exactly cheap but easy to fit and looks good enough.

We change the batteries in all Bield housing sites in the whole of Scotland quarterly. A typical site, that's about 700 quids worth of batteries....every 3 months  Fucking ridiculous.

I have a Yale wireless system. (HSA6400). Easy to install, batteries last about 2 years ish. Had it on for about a year and it's on more than most, as we haven't moved in yet so it's on 24/7. It has a sleep mode function on each sensor to save batteries. Tel calling facility etc... It's not a bad system. No real issues apart from 2 false alarms possibly caused by works on site. Much more expensive than a wired system though

We have a ADT system at home, no real issues apart from there service and 24/7 protection services are shocking!
Good system.

Funnily enough I fitted the Veritas in my place but never got around to fitting it! The phone line was buggered at the time so I might get around to fitting it soon good idea though

Only problem with wireless you can jam the frequency, most house alarms will all be on a known frquency and would be easy to block the signal from the sensors to get past.
