Ive had it for 3 weeks today and I still havent recieved the log book
the only thing I have is the new keepers supplement that is in the sellers name because he had only owned it for a few weeks
do log books normally take so long?

Will take ages as if you have the new keepers in his name that means youl have to wait for him to get the logbook, then him to put it in your name and wait for your logbook.
go and rack up some parking tickets.

Do you have a local DVLA office??
You can tipex his name out and fill it in with yours then send it off with the correct form to apply for the V5.

just rang the seller and he said his wife sent the log book off the day after I bought it, that will be 3 weeks ago tomorrow

6 weeks on average it takes for me to get them back. if you send the original logbook back it takes about 4-5 weeks to come back, or 6 ish if you have sent a new keepers form, or if your gary 5 months

times can vary bigtime. ive had it take anything from just over a week to 2 months.
