Which car would you prefer to own and why? I would be doing no more than 70 miles per week max.

I'd say the Audi or the Vxr.
Audi looks much nicer and has a better "status" imo.

S3's in that shape are quite expensive. The picture above is the S3 but the 3.2 Quattro does come with the X pack as an extra.

Also whats the tunability of the ST like over the VXR?

st tune up easily, remap, FMIC, exhaust and CAIS is 300bhp.
i know ojc's is 285bhp iirc and they seem to be easy to tune doing the same as the st's mods.
my cousin has an a3 3.2 v6 and it sounds great but looks a bit bland and dull, but some people like that.
golf gti again boring, but a good all rounder.
the st and vxr are the ones to go for if you want fun, drama, good handling, acceleration and noise.

TBH if i was to choose one of them it would either be the golf or the audi, fords i have never been a fan of, when i was looking at ST's they didnt seem that much difference between them and a normal focus bar the engine, VXR's iv never really been a fan of either

well it's going to be similar as it's the same bloody car with different bumpers, wheels, suspension, exhaust, interior etc
the audi and golf look just like normal versions also so i don't understand what you're trying to say really?

ST out of that list.
Audi will be the same to service as a BMW, probably more actually going on experience with my Audi and my brothers BMW.
